Director, Enterprise Content Strategy & Newsrooms (AI)

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States; hybrid work with the ability to work from a Cigna Group office 3 days a week as directed by the business.

Annual salary: $152,300–$253,800 USD, depending on experience and geographic location. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define and evolve enterprise content strategy in line with business priorities, enterprise narrative and audience needs.
• Lead editorial planning and oversee content portfolios across hirify.global, Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services Newsrooms.
• Establish governance, workflows, standards and templates for content intake, development, review, publishing, distribution and optimization.
• Advise Communications, Marketing, Social Media and business leaders on content priorities, audience strategy and owned-media opportunities.
• Build measurement frameworks, dashboards and learning agendas using audience data, search behavior, social listening and content performance.
• Apply SEO, answer-engine optimization, generative-engine optimization and responsible AI-enabled tools to improve content discovery and impact.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of experience in enterprise content strategy, corporate communications, content marketing, brand journalism, digital publishing, editorial leadership or a related field.
• Experience leading content strategy across a large, matrixed organization with multiple businesses, brands or stakeholder groups.
• Experience overseeing owned-media platforms, corporate Newsrooms, content hubs or enterprise editorial programs.
• Strong understanding of integrated communications across owned, earned, paid, social, executive and internal channels.
• Strong command of audience analytics, content performance measurement, SEO and AI-driven discovery practices.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams and operating in a highly regulated, fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in health care, financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience overseeing multiple owned-content properties or a federated content model.
• Familiarity with content-management platforms, audience analytics, social listening and enterprise workflow tools.
• Experience developing content for investors, employers, policymakers, clinicians, customers and patients.
