Product Designer

Location: Remote

Base salary: $150,000–$160,000 per year

hirify.global is building an operating system for beverage alcohol retailers that combines POS, payments, back office, inventory management, reporting, and e-commerce.

What you will do

• Own the Android-based terminal experience, including checkout, payments, returns, and daily cashier workflows.
• Lead discovery with cashiers and store staff through interviews, remote usability testing, and in-store visits when possible.
• Design workflows for busy retail environments involving long lines, interruptions, varying staff experience, scanners, card readers, and receipt printers.
• Partner with product managers to define problems and requirements, challenge assumptions, and shape product direction.
• Collaborate with terminal engineers to implement designs, understand platform and hardware constraints, and support AI-assisted design and development.
• Extend the shared design system across the terminal and back office, while contributing to web design, roadmap discussions, and post-launch iteration.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product or UX design experience in a startup or fast-moving environment.
• Experience designing and shipping mobile or tablet applications, with a strong understanding of native platform patterns.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end work across research, problem framing, design, and shipped products.
• Strong visual, interaction, research, systems-thinking, and problem-framing skills.
• Experience partnering closely with product managers and engineers while working within implementation constraints.
• Proficiency with Figma and Claude, with the ability to prototype quickly and test assumptions.

Nice to have

• Experience designing complex B2B or operational workflows in retail, logistics, or similar domains.
• Experience building or maintaining design systems.
• Experience using AI tools in the design workflow or designing AI-assisted experiences.
• Experience as a sole or lead designer.
• Frontend development exposure or a strong understanding of design-to-build handoff.
