Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Manhattan, United States. Work arrangement: on-site.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and operate sandboxed compute environments for AI agents, including VM orchestration, container management, resource scheduling, and workload isolation.
• Build internal developer infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, developer tooling, and platform abstractions.
• Define SLOs, implement monitoring and alerting, lead incident response, and improve systems through postmortems.
• Anticipate capacity and architecture needs and scale infrastructure ahead of product growth.
• Partner with product engineers to design reliable infrastructure without unnecessary complexity.

Requirements

• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed infrastructure.
• Hands-on proficiency with Kubernetes, a major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Strong software engineering skills, including proficiency in Python and experience owning complex systems codebases.
• Experience with observability, including instrumentation, dashboards, and signal-focused alerting.
• Experience with sandboxing, network isolation, and secure multi-tenant compute.
• Experience at an applied AI company, developer tools company, or fast-growing startup, plus a BS, MS, or equivalent technical degree from a highly selective program.
