Senior Solution Architect - Healthcare & Life Sciences (SAFe)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; Service Region: Iberia. Remote-friendly, with the option to work from home or from the office.

What you will do

• Define and drive target-state solution architecture for complex healthcare and life sciences initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Solution Management, Enterprise and System Architects, engineering teams, and external suppliers.
• Design and govern solution context, interfaces, integrations, APIs, deployment models, and non-functional requirements.
• Maintain the Architectural Runway and align architecture decisions across teams and programs.
• Lead architecture workshops, design sessions, and SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning and Solution Demos.
• Enable CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices while ensuring security, quality, regulatory, and data governance compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or comparable senior architecture roles.
• Experience in SAFe environments, including Solution Trains and Agile Release Trains.
• Strong knowledge of TOGAF, API Architecture, SOA, cloud architecture, microservices, CI/CD, DevOps, data governance, data protection, and security architecture.
• Hands-on cloud solution design experience, preferably with AWS, and experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, or pharma.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and English, strong stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.
