Base pay: $35–$50 per hour

hirify.global develops advanced air mobility technologies, including electric air taxis, unmanned aircraft systems, and aviation-related artificial intelligence solutions for commercial aerospace and defense customers.

What you will do

  • Fabricate complex composite aircraft parts using prepreg and wet layup methods.
  • Perform bagging, vacuum infusion, bonding, cure cycles, demolding, trimming, finishing, and composite repairs.
  • Lead fabrication activities, assign personnel, verify competencies, and coach team members.
  • Read engineering drawings, schematics, modification documents, test procedures, and process specifications.
  • Inspect parts for defects and maintain material, process, inspection, and certification traceability records.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and design teams to resolve recurring issues and improve part buildability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced prototyping environment.
  • At least 10 years of experience as an engineering technician in the aerospace and/or automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of composite materials, layup methods, resin systems, cure processes, and mechanical or structural assembly techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering instructions, process documentation, and FAA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures, tool control, foreign object debris prevention, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and handle tasks involving hazardous materials.

Nice to have

  • A&P certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or CATIA.
  • Experience troubleshooting integration or mechanical issues, electric aircraft, configuration management, FAA conformity, or new product development.
