Engineering Technician 4, Quality Assurance (Aerospace)

Location: Remote

Salary: $35–$53 per hour, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Support X-BAT prototype ground and flight testing through in-process, final, pre-test, and post-test inspections.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, structural, composite, and electromechanical assemblies using appropriate measurement equipment.
• Verify hardware configuration, workmanship, dimensions, torque, installation, traceability, and test readiness against engineering requirements.
• Document hardware condition, damage, failures, abnormal conditions, measurements, photographs, and inspection results.
• Identify and contain nonconformances while supporting MRB, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Improve inspection plans, checklists, acceptance criteria, quality records, and prototype hardware processes with Quality, Manufacturing, Test, and Design Engineering.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, aviation, or a related technical field.
• Experience supporting prototype development or flight testing.
• Hands-on experience inspecting, testing, manufacturing, or troubleshooting complex aerospace hardware.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ability to pass a cleared background check and possible reference check.

Nice to have

• Experience with UAVs, aircraft, flight hardware, or aerospace structures.
• Experience with GD&T, composites, electrical systems, or electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience with nonconformance management, MRB, RCCA, or failure investigations.
• Familiarity with AS9100.
