Care Manager, BH - Remote (Louisiana License Required)

Location: Remote in Louisiana; candidates must hold a current Louisiana license

Salary: $64,285–$102,855 per year

What you will do

• Authorize and review the utilization of mental health and substance abuse services in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collect and analyze utilization data, perform concurrent clinical reviews, and assess medical necessity and treatment effectiveness.
• Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, emergency authorizations, and assistance to members and providers.
• Coordinate discharge planning with providers and facilities and oversee implementation of treatment plans.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, including data collection, tracking, and analysis.
• Collaborate with Physician Advisors, community agencies, and provider networks while advocating for members’ treatment needs.

Requirements

• Current Louisiana license required.
• One of the following credentials with the required degree: CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or RN with state or compact-state licensure.
• At least two years of post-degree experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse care.
• Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient care and knowledge of utilization management procedures.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 or the current diagnostic edition and behavioral health community resources.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
