Director, Global Payroll & HR Systems

What you will do

• Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing health of HRIS platforms and related HR technologies.
• Design automated workflows and integrations connecting HRIS, Slack, Google Workspace, ATS, finance, and payroll systems.
• Manage global onboarding and lifecycle workflows for direct employees, Employer of Record, and Contractor of Record arrangements across the US, EMEA, and APAC.
• Build automated payroll pipelines covering salaried, hourly, and commissioned employees, including time tracking, benefits deductions, payouts, reconciliation, and tax filings.
• Own HR data integrity, audit processes, dashboards, automated reports, people analytics, and compliance reporting.
• Apply generative AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT to create SOPs, clean data, and remove repetitive administrative work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in HRIS management, payroll, and HR operations.
• Experience leading complex end-to-end HRIS implementations, data migrations, workflow design, and system integrations.
• Extensive hands-on experience processing US multi-state payroll; international payroll and EOR/COR experience in APAC and EMEA is advantageous.
• Practical knowledge of generative AI tools and strong discretion when handling sensitive personal and compensation data.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Phoenix, Arizona, and to operate a motor vehicle for company business; a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history are required.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing and administering Rippling.
• CPP, HRIP, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or another relevant HR certification.
• Experience integrating Slack and Google Workspace into HR workflows.
