Field Technician (Cable)

Location: Prescott, Arizona, United States. Field-based work requires driving to customer locations, working in confined areas, on ladders, and in all weather conditions. Overtime and on-call work may be required.

Total compensation of base pay plus bonus up to $19 per hour, based on the national average.

What you will do

• Install customer service drops and outlets at residential and business properties.
• Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot service drops, outlets, and reception performance.
• Diagnose and repair issues from customer equipment through the first distribution amplifier.
• Verify upstream and downstream signal levels at customer premises.
• Suggest service upgrades and educate customers about new and existing equipment.
• Provide customer support while completing additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license in the state of application and a good driving record.
• At least 3 months of customer service or related experience and/or training; equivalent education and experience may be accepted.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to solve problems, listen to customers, and present solutions positively.
• Ability to work in small and confined areas, lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions.
• Regular and predictable attendance, with flexibility for overtime and on-call work.
