Installation Technician (Telecommunications)

Location: San Rafael, California, USA. Onsite work at customer homes and businesses is required, including work in small spaces and at heights up to 28 feet.

Salary: $20.09–$35.65 per hour. Average starting earnings are $57,970 per year.

What you will do

• Install and activate broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services.
• Install new lines, cables, and related telecommunications equipment.
• Troubleshoot service and connectivity issues at customer locations.
• Work independently at residential and business sites while delivering customer service.
• Perform ladder, elevated, confined-space, and equipment-handling work safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds and meet ladder-safety requirements.
• Ability to work in small spaces and at heights up to 28 feet.
• Availability for flexible schedules, evenings, weekends, overtime, emergency callouts, and holidays.
• Ability to identify wire and cable colors and pass pre-employment assessments.
