Storeroom Buyer

Location: Downingtown, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite work in a manufacturing and storeroom environment

Salary: $43,500–$59,800 per year

What you will do

• Manage MRO inventory, including stock levels, slow-moving and obsolete parts, cycle counts, replenishment, and inventory adjustments.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, process receipts and disbursements, and follow up on open, backordered, and emergency orders.
• Use SAP and Excel reports to maintain material masters, part records, work-order issues, inventory transactions, and equipment bills of materials.
• Coordinate repair and return programs, including supplier communication, shipping procedures, and return authorization numbers.
• Provide parts and materials to maintenance and production personnel while supporting storeroom KPI tracking and reporting.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storeroom and operate lift trucks and walk-behind hand trucks as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant experience.
• Experience with inventory management practices and inventory control systems.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; prior SAP experience is preferred.
• Ability to accurately receive, issue, count, and track parts and materials while maintaining detailed records.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work onsite in a manufacturing and storeroom environment while following safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
