Inventory Analyst

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; primarily in-office

Annual base salary: $85,000–$128,000 USD, with potential incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Manage inventory health across global hubs, tracking days on hand, turns, safety stock, slow-moving stock, and excess-and-obsolete risk.
• Rebalance inventory between sites before excess becomes a write-off.
• Run the purchase order lifecycle with contract manufacturers and suppliers, including releases, commitment tracking, expedites, de-expedites, and discrepancy resolution.
• Prepare inventory position, risk, and gap analysis for S&OP and monthly inventory reviews.
• Maintain accurate dashboards, ERP records, reporting, purchase price variance tracking, and invoice discrepancy support for Finance.
• Identify recurring data issues, manual processes, and system gaps, then drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Strong data fluency in Excel and BI tools, including pivots, lookups, and reconciliation.
• Experience working in an ERP system such as SAP and maintaining purchase order dates, quantities, and pricing.
• Working knowledge of lead time, safety stock, inventory turns, days on hand, and excess-and-obsolete inventory.
• Experience coordinating directly with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Ability to resolve delivery and quantity issues through clear communication.
• Ability to work from the Houston, TX office in a primarily in-office environment.
