Buyer (Rack Beauty)

Location: Hybrid position at 1617 6th Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98101, United States

Salary: $110,500–$183,000 annual

What you will do

• Develop seasonal product plans for the Rack Beauty department based on customer expectations and fashion trends.
• Build multichannel expertise across full-line stores and online channels, including presentation, customer behavior, and competitive analysis.
• Negotiate exclusive offerings, pricing, vendor-funded markdowns, return-to-vendor agreements, drop-ship programs, and cooperative marketing terms.
• Manage in-season inventory decisions, including markdowns, claims, and re-orders.
• Partner with buy planners and financial planners on business reviews, open-to-buy management, and plan revisions.
• Teach, coach, and motivate assistant buyers to improve product selection, assortment editing, and business performance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a multichannel or omnichannel retail buyer, or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience maintaining vendor relationships.
• Understanding of hirify.global’s retail and service environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in merchandising or a related field preferred.
• Experience managing a high-sales-volume category with a high SKU count, heavy seasonality, and revenue exceeding $20 million preferred.
