Entry-Level Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer (EI/EIT)

Location: Fully remote, with the preferred candidate residing in the Greenville, SC, or Charlotte, NC area and supporting projects throughout the region. Frequent local and regional travel to investigation sites is required. U.S. Persons only due to ITAR-controlled information access.

Salary: $32.00–$36.00 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct forensic investigations of structural failures, construction defects, and related engineering matters.
• Perform site inspections and collect field data for forensic analysis.
• Apply civil and structural engineering principles to assess structural issues.
• Prepare technical reports documenting findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Stay current with structural engineering codes, standards, and industry practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer Intern (EI or EIT) preferred, or ability to obtain the designation.
• Ability to travel by road multiple days per week, including local travel and regional air travel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under applicable ITAR requirements.
