Commercial Real Estate Underwriting Associate (Private Bank)

What you will do

• Evaluate the risk and economic implications of commercial real estate and other private lending transactions.
• Work with Regional Lending and Private Lending teams to structure client solutions within acceptable bank risk parameters.
• Analyze borrowers' financial condition, collateral, risks, and mitigants.
• Document loan structures, credit analyses, approvals, policy exceptions, and file records.
• Monitor loan covenants, collateral, risk ratings, and compliance with underwriting standards.
• Communicate with clients, credit risk teams, wealth management teams, bank personnel, and regulators.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; an MBA is preferred for more senior roles.
• At least 3 years of financial work experience for the Associate level.
• Experience in commercial banking, private banking underwriting, or credit roles.
• Detailed knowledge of financial accounting, analysis, and modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication, project management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• CPA or CFA is a plus; no licensing is required.
