Corporate Underwriting & Portfolio Management VP (Fintech)

Salary: $108,750–$185,000 annual base pay

What you will do

• Underwrite, structure, service, and document new and renewal corporate credit transactions.
• Analyze financial statements, industry risks, repayment sources, collateral requirements, loan pricing, and credit performance.
• Prepare credit approval memoranda and recommendations in collaboration with bankers and in accordance with bank policy.
• Manage portfolio reporting, including past-due loans, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance, profitability, and risk grades.
• Monitor financial and market trends and assess their impact on the assigned portfolio.
• Participate in customer calls, escalations, workout situations, restructurings, and special projects.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without employer sponsorship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience, training, military service, or education.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial analysis, credit structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
• At least 7 years of experience underwriting corporate loan transactions.
• Strong financial statement analysis, financial modeling, credit, risk, communication, judgment, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus completion of a bank-certified credit training course.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, training, military service, or education.
