Salary: $130,000–$150,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Support engineering teams across bus, payload, GNC, and flight software in producing technical documents like ICDs and design specs.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and SOPs by working directly with technicians on the production floor.
• Coordinate documentation consistency across geographically distributed engineering and manufacturing sites.
• Generate and manage contract deliverable documentation, including compliance reports and data packages.
• Establish and maintain document control systems, versioning, and accessibility standards.
• Develop lightweight documentation templates that scale with the program's growth.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of technical writing experience in aerospace, defense, or hardware manufacturing.
• Proven ability to write clear, accurate work instructions and SOPs for assembly environments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to comply with export regulations.
• Ability to work directly with engineers to extract and translate technical content.
• Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience documenting spacecraft, satellite, or precision hardware programs.
• Familiarity with program reviews like PDR, CDR, or MRR.
• Proficiency with Confluence and Google Workspace.
• Interest in growing into a documentation lead or program management role.
