Senior Technical Writer (FinTech)

Salary: $102,000–$144,000 per year

What you will do

• Document complex financial technology products for external and internal audiences, keeping content aligned with SaaS releases.
• Draft and refine documentation with product managers, engineers, and other subject-matter experts.
• Use AI tools, including Claude, to accelerate drafting and editing while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Maintain the knowledge base, including editorial style, taxonomy, hierarchy, templates, and related content standards.
• Manage the documentation pipeline in Jira and contribute to AI features, design strategy, style guides, jargon guidance, and video content.
• Mentor junior writers and provide editorial feedback across the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional technical writing experience focused on explaining complex topics clearly to varied audiences.
• Strong editorial judgment and command of style, taxonomy, hierarchy, and formatting.
• Experience integrating AI tools, including Claude, into content workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and client-services subject-matter experts.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Client-first mindset with consistent, concise, and clear communication.

Nice to have

• FinTech industry experience.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, including Confluence and Jira.
• Experience with Figma, SnagIt, Canva, Loom, or Adobe Creative Cloud.
• UI/UX writing experience and knowledge of Markdown, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with Java or Python code structure, APIs, CLIs, IDEs, and GitLab.
