Network Specialist

Location: Hybrid from the Lake St. Louis, Missouri office after initial training; minimum three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with additional onsite work as needed.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and support internal and member LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network hardware, connectivity, firewall, switching, and wireless issues.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and security, and verify infrastructure changes.
• Configure and stage customer equipment, including onsite and remote installation and support.
• Provide technical support, training, case management, and follow-up through service center systems, phone, and email.
• Create technical documentation, inventories, network maps, and training materials; participate in rotating after-hours on-call support.

Requirements

• Three or more years of related experience preferred.
• Moderate knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Moderate knowledge of firewall technologies such as SonicWall or Palo Alto.
• Knowledge of Aruba switching and wireless technologies and practical TCP/IP network support.
• Strong troubleshooting, research, organization, communication, customer service, presentation, and training abilities.
• Ability to travel as needed and work outside regular business hours, including rotating on-call coverage.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in a technology-related field.
• Industry certification such as SNSP, SNSA, CCNA, Linux, or Network+.
• Experience with network switching, wireless infrastructure, and firewalls.
