TL;DR
Network Engineer (Healthcare IT): Supporting and maintaining client and DAS Health network environments across LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewall, switching, routing, and IP voice technologies with an accent on escalated incident response, deployments, upgrades, and network changes. Focus on analyzing monitoring and debug data, restoring service quickly, standardizing network configurations, and supporting multi-site healthcare environments.
Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do
- Support client data and voice networks through escalated incidents, projects, deployments, upgrades, and network changes.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewall, switching, routing, and IP voice technologies.
- Analyze monitoring, reporting, logging, and debug data to identify issues and restore service quickly.
- Maintain network availability, templates, standards, configuration documentation, and change records.
- Collaborate with clients, partners, vendors, carriers, and cross-functional teams on professional services projects.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours escalations.
Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent network administration and data center engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewalls, switching, routing, IP voice, network services, and application or network protocols.
- Experience with Cisco routing, firewalling, switching, and wireless technologies.
- Experience supporting branch networks and troubleshooting multi-site environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and operate with minimal supervision.
Nice to have
- CCNA or a higher-level networking certification.
- At least 5 years of networking experience.
- Healthcare IT, managed services, technology services, network vendor, or multi-client support experience.
- Experience with Juniper, Meraki, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Fortinet, cloud networking, Python, Perl, or ITIL.
