Senior Network Engineer - NEN

Location: Fully remote within the United States; US work authorization required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Department of Defense security clearance. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Design and develop enterprise WAN and LAN networks with bandwidth capacity, hardware and circuit redundancy, and enhanced packet analysis.
• Design networks using eBGP, iBGP, BGP route reflectors, IS-IS, LISP, GETVPN, and MPLS on Arista platforms.
• Operate complex routing, encryption, firewall, IPS, monitoring, security, and network automation environments.
• Support secure, reliable, fault-tolerant networks and highly visible engineering projects.
• Create system design documentation, deployment and build plans, and test plans.

Requirements

• 10–14 years of experience with routing and firewall technologies.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics or Engineering.
• Experience deploying and configuring Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, or Juniper routers, multilayer switches, and firewalls or IPS devices.
• Experience with PEO Digital/PAE Mission Systems enterprise networks and TAP environments such as Gigamon, NETSCOUT, or Arista DMF.
• Experience with Cisco Modeling Labs and EVE-NG.
• US work authorization and the ability to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense security clearance are required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Secret clearance or higher.
• 8140 compliance with active security and operating system certifications.
• Vendor certification from Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or Palo Alto.
• Previous scripting and software-defined networking experience.
