What you will do

• Design, configure, test, implement, and maintain enterprise server environments, applications, and endpoint management solutions.
• Troubleshoot server, virtualization, storage, system performance, and processing issues using hardware and software diagnostic tools.
• Plan and install new systems, servers, storage platforms, virtualization environments, and related hardware.
• Work with Information Assurance and cybersecurity teams to meet DoD Risk Management Framework requirements, maintain security baselines, and address vulnerabilities.
• Deploy and harden Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environments and implement disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.
• Monitor data center services, communicate service issues and improvement opportunities, provide documentation and training, and support scheduled after-hours downtime when needed.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required.
• Experience with server operations, blade architectures, virtualization, Active Directory, Group Policy, application support, and storage solutions.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.
• Proficient written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Microsoft MCSE-level certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Riverbed or ScienceLogic.
• Experience with SCOM, MECM, IIS, SQL, DSUW, Remedy ITSM, M3, Exchange, Linux, Unix, or patch management.
