Guidewire Developer - ClaimCenter (Guidewire)

Location: Remote from a US-based home if not local to a hirify.global office; office locations include Alpharetta, Birmingham, Chicago, Dallas, Jacksonville, Downers Grove, and St. Louis.

Salary: $89,000–$148,100 per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and code robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions for Guidewire ClaimCenter and related systems.
• Develop integrations using Java, Spring Boot, AWS services, REST APIs, messaging queues, and batch processes.
• Contribute technical expertise to critical property and casualty insurance claims initiatives.
• Evaluate system architecture, technical standards, development processes, security practices, and performance bottlenecks.
• Create proof-of-concept implementations and collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders.
• Work within the SAFe framework while sharing technical knowledge without formal people-management responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of developer experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Extensive current experience developing with Guidewire ClaimCenter is required.
• Strong knowledge of Guidewire InsuranceSuite, including PCF, business rules, assignment rules, database models, integrations, and Guidewire Profiler.
• Experience with Java, Gosu, Kotlin, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Spring Boot, microservices, testing, CI/CD, containers, and Git.
• Knowledge of auto insurance and the full software development life cycle; commercial or personal auto lines experience is preferred.

• Guidewire Cloud InsuranceSuite Professional Developer certification.
• Experience with AI prompt and agentic engineering.
• Experience with Angular, React, Vue, responsive design, progressive web apps, AppDynamics, Splunk, Maven, or Gradle.
