Strategic Finance & Business Operations Lead (AI)

Location: On-site in New York City, in person 5 days a week. Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 base salary, plus meaningful equity ownership.

What you will do

• Own financial analysis and modeling across revenue, growth, unit economics, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop a deep understanding of the revenue structure and identify opportunities to improve business economics.
• Build reporting, forecasting, and analytical processes as the company scales.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, markets, and strategic initiatives from financial and operational perspectives.
• Partner with the Founder and business leaders on high-priority strategic and operational projects.
• Turn complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations and execute identified opportunities.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of professional experience with a strong foundation in finance and financial analysis.
• Experience in investment banking, equity research, private equity, hedge funds, or another rigorous financial environment.
• Exceptional financial modeling skills and comfort analyzing revenue structures, unit economics, and business performance.
• Ability to structure ambiguous questions, develop thoughtful answers, and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Commercial mindset, strong bias for action, and willingness to operate beyond traditional finance responsibilities.
• U.S. work authorization and availability to work in person in New York City five days per week.

Nice to have

• Several years in investment banking or another rigorous finance environment followed by strategic finance, business operations, or a similar role at a high-growth startup.
