Head of Finance

What you will do

• Take end-to-end ownership of the finance function, setting priorities, identifying risks and gaps, and establishing scalable processes and controls.
• Partner with the CEO on costs, investments, profitability, cash position, business priorities, and financial recommendations.
• Lead the Finance Controller and coordinate external accountants, auditors, and other finance providers.
• Own management reporting across P&L, cash flow, budgets versus actuals, project profitability, and margin analysis.
• Develop budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and financial viability analysis for initiatives and investments.
• Improve and automate invoicing, payments, contractor payouts, reporting workflows, approval procedures, and finance governance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, financial control, audit, or management reporting.
• Experience in IT, software development, IT outsourcing, SaaS, or another international service-based business.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, financial controls, audit readiness, and month-end or year-end closing.
• Experience with P&L, cash flow, budget versus actuals, profitability, and margin analysis, including international invoicing and cross-border payments.
• Experience managing finance professionals and coordinating external accountants, auditors, or other providers.
• Advanced written and spoken English, advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, and experience with QuickBooks Online or similar systems.

Nice to have

• Big Four experience in audit, assurance, accounting advisory, or consulting.
• Experience with finance, accounting, or audit processes for UK or Cyprus entities.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, scripting, system integrations, or reporting automation.
• Practical use of AI tools in finance operations with attention to confidentiality and result validation.
• Completed or in-progress ACCA qualification.
