Head of Finance (Robotics)

Location: Toronto (Remote)

Compensation: CA$250,000 – CA$300,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under US GAAP.
• Manage multi-entity consolidation, foreign currency accounting, and intercompany transactions across US, Canadian, and UK entities.
• Oversee revenue recognition, AP, and AR while establishing practical financial controls.
• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial models to support business priorities.
• Maintain cash forecasts and analyze deployment economics, pricing, and expansion scenarios.
• Implement and optimize accounting systems and ERPs, leveraging automation and AI tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with ownership of financial reporting.
• CPA designation or equivalent with strong US GAAP knowledge, including ASC 606.
• Experience operating independently in a small finance team or as the primary accounting owner.
• Proven ability to build budgets, cash forecasts, and financial models.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and cross-border operations.
• Strong spreadsheet and financial systems skills.

Nice to have

• Experience at a VC-backed company in robotics, hardware, or industrial automation.
• Familiarity with inventory, hardware, and robotics-as-a-service business models.
• Experience implementing ERP systems and modern finance tools.
• Background in supporting equity fundraising, debt facilities, or financial due diligence.
