TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Backend, C#/.NET): Building scalable backend applications, APIs, distributed systems and transactional workflows for travel booking and customer search experiences with an accent on cloud-native architecture, high-volume data processing and external supplier integrations. Focus on designing event-driven systems, solving performance and resilience challenges, and operating reliable containerised services in AWS.

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working with a minimum of one day every two weeks in the Dublin workspace

What you will do

Design and build scalable backend applications, APIs, services and platforms.
Develop systems for travel supplier integrations, hotel inventory and pricing, customer search and booking workflows.
Design distributed and event-driven architectures using asynchronous messaging and streaming technologies.
Build and operate cloud-native, containerised applications within AWS.
Improve performance, caching, data access, monitoring, alerting and observability.
Collaborate across the development lifecycle with engineers, product managers and technical specialists.

Requirements

Strong commercial backend software engineering experience with C# and .NET or comparable technologies.
Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, service-oriented architectures and reliable integrations.
Knowledge of cloud-native application development, ideally in AWS.
Experience with messaging, asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture and SQL or NoSQL data stores.
Experience building scalable systems, optimising performance and latency, and designing for resilience and failure.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, observability, production operations, automated testing and modern engineering practices.

Initial call with the Talent Acquisition Team.
Hiring Manager meet and greet lasting 30 minutes.
Behavioural and ways-of-working interview lasting 60 minutes, followed by 120-minute technical pairing and system design interview.
