Director, Strategic Initiatives (Humanitarian Aid)

Location: Remote

Annual base salary: $131,250 in the United States; £91,900 in the United Kingdom; $106,280 in Kenya. Benefits stipends and a 15% bonus target are also listed.

What you will do

• Build and prioritize external pathways for increasing delivery capacity, including institutional data partnerships, outsourced delivery, telecommunications, and payment-provider arrangements.
• Conduct primary diligence with potential partners, regulators, and legal counsel, reaching defensible decisions to advance or stop opportunities.
• Move selected opportunities from recommendation through live pilot implementation while coordinating cross-functional work.
• Define competitive solicitations, publish RFPs or similar requests, and evaluate partner responses.
• Lead negotiations with UN agencies, INGOs, mobile network operators, and government bodies through signed agreements.
• Prepare concise analysis and recommendations for Executive team decisions on funding and operational capacity.

Requirements

• Director- or Team Lead-level experience in consulting, strategy, or operations.
• Experience turning broad, ambiguous mandates into tested options, clear strategies, milestones, and success metrics.
• Strong analytical skills, including comparable estimates for structurally different opportunities and explicit assumptions.
• Ability to negotiate with institutions, assess incentives and compliance requirements, and manage senior stakeholders.
• Clear, direct written and verbal communication with recommendations grounded in evidence.
• Ability to represent and uphold hirify.global's values, including safeguarding and respect for human rights.

Nice to have

• Experience with humanitarian or institutional donors, UN agencies, or INGO consortia.
• Experience with mobile money, telecommunications, payments partnerships, grantmaking, or organizational due diligence.
• Experience running challenge funds or competitive solicitations and negotiating data-sharing or data-protection agreements.
• Experience operating in low-income or infrastructure-constrained markets.
