Director, Public Assistance (Portfolio Manager — FEMA Region 4 (AL · FL · GA · KY · MS · NC · SC · TN)

Location: Remote, but must be located within the Southeast region of the United States; extensive travel across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee is required, up to 50%

Salary: $131,256–$223,134 annually

What you will do

• Lead P&L and delivery oversight for hirify.global's FEMA Region 4 Public Assistance portfolio.
• Manage Project Managers, staffing, utilization, delivery risks, client satisfaction, and quality standards.
• Grow existing client relationships through task orders, recompetes, and new regional pursuits.
• Build senior relationships with state and local emergency management agencies and grant recipients.
• Oversee regional proposal development, go/no-go decisions, win strategies, and technical contributions.
• Represent hirify.global at emergency management associations and regional conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of combined emergency management and FEMA experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or client-facing capacity.
• 3+ years of direct experience managing multi-client portfolios and Project Managers.
• Working knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program, Stafford Act, 44 CFR Part 206, and PAPPG.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 50%, within the Southeast region.
• Must be located within the Southeast region of the United States.

Nice to have

• Relationships with Florida, Georgia, or other Region 4 emergency management agencies.
• Experience with emergency planning, preparedness, emergency operations center activations, or incident management.
• Experience with on-call and task-order contract structures.
• PMP or CEM certification.
