Associate Director, CMC Project Management

Location: Remote within the United States; home-based position with approximately 25% travel.

What you will do

• Lead project initiation, planning, implementation, and execution from proposal through completion.
• Define project objectives, timelines, deliverables, tasks, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, budgets, risks, and corrective actions, reporting status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate client communications, project meetings, agendas, minutes, and action items.
• Evaluate project outcomes and recommend improvements for future work.
• Support business development through client visits, conferences, trade shows, proposals, timelines, and change orders.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in life sciences; chemistry preferred.
• At least 5 years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience in CMC process development and/or GMP manufacturing.
• Experience in project management or managing external research collaborations; PMP certification is desired.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Understanding of small-molecule drug development, pharmaceutical regulations, manufacturing, and testing trends.
• English and Mandarin proficiency required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Project, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in an API process R&D, drug product R&D, CRO, or CMO environment.
• Experience with oligonucleotides or solid-state peptides.
