Senior Healthcare Integration Engineer (Healthcare Integration)

Location: 100% remote, must reside within the continental United States. U.S. citizenship is required.

What you will do

• Develop, configure, deploy, and support source-system interfaces, integration configurations, data pipelines, and exchange services.
• Evaluate source-system requirements, interface specifications, data flows, and integration dependencies.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, message routing, interface testing, defect resolution, and production support.
• Support EHR, claims, public-health, HIE, FHIR, HL7, MLLP, API, and other healthcare data integrations.
• Coordinate facility and vendor onboarding, interface deployments, troubleshooting, and technical implementation activities.
• Maintain interface configurations, technical documentation, implementation artifacts, runbooks, and operational materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, plus 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Extensive experience with healthcare interoperability, source-system integration, interface configuration, and enterprise application integration.
• Strong experience with data mapping, transformation, message routing, interface deployment, troubleshooting, HL7, FHIR, MLLP, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Experience with Java, scripting, XML, JSON, SQL, healthcare interface engines, Apache NiFi, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills for working with technical teams, vendors, and healthcare facility stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a background check are required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including fingerprinting, may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal healthcare programs or government healthcare organizations such as the Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Health and Human Services, or Defense Health Agency.
• Experience with facility and vendor onboarding, integration testing, configuration management, source code management, and production support.
