Senior Java Developer (MedTech)

Location: Remote from Ukraine, Poland, or Spain

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring.
• Build workflow services for multi-step business logic, status lifecycles, and event-driven notifications.
• Design secure integrations between internal modules and external systems while following healthcare data privacy principles.
• Optimize relational database schemas, SQL queries, and high-volume transaction processing.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, automated unit and integration testing, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with Java 11/17+.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot 3, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Web.
• Experience with relational data modeling and SQL performance tuning using PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and implementing OAuth2/JWT authentication.
• Knowledge of microservices, domain-driven design, transactional state management, JUnit, Mockito, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Healthcare or MedTech experience, including data privacy or digital medical record workflows.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with AWS/GCP, Redis, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
