Senior Backend Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Build scalable platforms, APIs, and backend services for patients, pharmacies, and other customers.
• Own backend features from technical design and implementation through release and maintenance.
• Work with software engineers, Product Management, and Design to define functional and technical requirements.
• Improve system usability, performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Solve complex design and technical problems while promoting high-quality development practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns and review teammates' code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing backend APIs, services, and platforms.
• Strong development experience with Java, Spring, and SQL.
• Experience building scalable, customer-facing web applications.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, ownership, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to own complex projects through planning, design, delivery, and maintenance with minimal guidance.

Nice to have

• Experience with React.
• Experience with Terraform or Terragrunt.
• Experience with AWS.
