Principal Software Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States, limited to candidates in the EST or CST time zones

What you will do

• Design and develop advanced healthcare software systems, transaction processing solutions, integrations, and data management platforms.
• Contribute hands-on to key platform features while ensuring scalability, reliability, security, performance, and availability.
• Lead technical design, architectural innovation, prioritization, and delivery across one or more engineering teams.
• Own the quality of team-delivered features and ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.
• Partner with product managers, product owners, executive stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Identify technical risks, monitor healthcare technology trends, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Principal-level software engineering experience with hands-on development and technical leadership responsibilities.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance software systems.
• Experience with healthcare transaction processing and industry standards including HL7, FHIR, and EDI.
• Ability to provide technical oversight, guide architecture, manage risks, and ensure software quality.
• Must be located within the United States EST or CST time zones.
