Software Engineer, Consumer Revenue (React/Python)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, United States

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and improve premium Discord experiences including Nitro, the shop, boosting, and user identity.
• Own projects end to end by refining requirements, writing technical specifications, and partnering with Product and Design.
• Ship features across web, Android, and iOS with a full-stack engineering team.
• Lead complex initiatives from conception to completion in ambiguous environments.
• Rapidly prototype features and use experimentation to synthesize product insights.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience and a record of leading impactful projects.
• Full-stack proficiency with React, React Native, TypeScript, and Python backend development.
• Experience with mobile development environments including Kotlin, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Strong product sense, ownership, autonomy, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of React performance and client-server performance optimization.
