Simulator Technician I (Parksouth) (aviation simulation/electronics): Maintaining and troubleshooting flight simulators and associated systems at CAE’s Orlando training center with an accent on preventive maintenance, simulator testing, alignments, and hardware repairs. Focus on diagnosing electrical and automated-system issues, running Qualification Test Guides, repairing circuit boards, and maintaining simulator readiness.

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; onsite simulator maintenance role with occasional work-from-home flexibility and less than 10% travel.

What you will do

  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systems.
  • Assist with diagnosing and correcting routine simulator and system problems.
  • Complete pre-flight and post-flight activities, visual alignments, and automated Qualification Test Guide runs.
  • Record and track maintenance activities in the maintenance management system.
  • Support simulator refurbishment, hardware modifications, parts receipt, repairs, testing, and validation.
  • Provide customer support, complete administrative and training activities, and maintain simulator areas.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
  • At least one year of simulator-related experience in electronics or avionics, automated systems, or computer networking repair and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory, with basic test-equipment, soldering, and circuit-board repair skills.
  • Basic knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; eligibility is verified through E-Verify.
