What you will do

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes for wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical interconnects.
  • Partner with design engineering to improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and reliability.
  • Develop tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and standardized production processes.
  • Support harness fabrication, inspection, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and dielectric withstand testing.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing defects and lead root-cause and corrective-action efforts.
  • Support new product introduction, supplier qualification, and the transition of harness designs into production.

Requirements

  • Experience manufacturing high-reliability wiring harnesses in aerospace, automotive, defense, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of crimping, soldering, shielding, splicing, routing, and connector assembly.
  • Experience developing or improving manufacturing processes and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA workmanship standards is preferred.
  • Access to export-controlled information may require compliance with U.S. Government eligibility and authorization requirements; classified work may require a security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Experience with automated harness test equipment.
  • Experience developing tooling, fixtures, and production processes.
  • Experience supporting aerospace or flight hardware.
  • Experience training or mentoring manufacturing technicians.
