Client Financial Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Remote Flex - North Carolina; remote work with a few in-office visits each year. The role is available to candidates in states listed on the posting, with onsite expectations discussed during the interview process.

Base salary: $60,907.00–$97,452.00 per year, plus an annual incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop, analyze, interpret, and present historical and forecasted claims expense and stop-loss coverage information.
• Prepare claims expense financials, forecasts, variance analyses, reports, statements, and reconciliations for employer groups, vendors, sales, underwriting, and other audiences.
• Coordinate stop-loss coverage preparation using high-dollar claims, claimant performance, contract terms, prior credits, and estimated expenses.
• Review claims, membership, commissions, plan policies, provider information, benefits, and other data for financial analysis and accuracy.
• Support month-end, run-out, and final close activities, employer group transactions, settlements, audits, projects, testing, training, and implementation.
• Resolve complex eligibility and documentation issues, review operational inquiries, and recommend coaching or process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree where required, or 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with financial claims expense analysis, reporting, forecasting, or related business analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to determine stop-loss benefit eligibility based on contract terms and supporting documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, insurance, claims, benefits, or stop-loss coverage data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Experience presenting information to clients, customers, or business stakeholders.
• Experience supporting external clients or customer-facing business functions.
