Associate Actuary (Medicare Advantage)

Location: Fully remote within the Continental United States; ET/CT preferred but not required

Salary: $87,700–$157,800 per year

What you will do

• Support Medicare Advantage strategic initiatives, planning, and business decision-making.
• Build, own, and enhance actuarial tools and processes for internal users.
• Conduct pricing, cost trend, statistical, probability, regression, and financial analyses.
• Analyze legislative changes, premium rates, cash reserves, liabilities, trends, and data gaps.
• Create and update actuarial reports and contribute to merger and acquisition analysis.
• Review and certify Medicare Advantage bids when eligible for American Academy of Actuaries membership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
• Healthcare and Medicare Advantage actuarial experience, including cost trend analysis and actuarial tool development.
• Advanced Excel skills, including arrays, PivotTables, VBA, and queries, plus SQL and SAS.
• Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for actuarial analysis and decision-making.
