Software Engineering, Sr. Engineer (Investment Data)

Location: Boston, hybrid work environment. Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $98,500–$141,500 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain dbt data models in Snowflake using established data standards and architectural principles.
• Build modular, scalable, and documented transformation pipelines for investment data.
• Design, develop, and support data pipelines and warehouse solutions for reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.
• Improve data quality, resiliency, controls, monitoring, and operational efficiency across the investment data platform.
• Troubleshoot data and system issues, identify root causes, and support production incidents and outages.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, platform leads, investment teams, business stakeholders, and vendor partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting data-oriented applications and platforms.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with SQL and advanced SQL concepts.
• Experience with dbt, data integration, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and analytics architectures.
• Experience with cloud-based PaaS platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, cloud technologies, and modern data architecture concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-native databases.
• Asset management, investment management, financial instruments, transactions, positions, or multi-asset investment platform experience.
• Certifications in Snowflake, dbt, cloud data engineering, or related data platforms.
• Interest in AI technologies and experience using automation or AI-assisted development tools.
