Software Engineer - Liquidity Reporting (Fintech)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with four days onsite and one day remote per week.

Salary: $80,900.00–$134,800.00 annual USD.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support technology solutions for liquidity financial reporting, including FR 2052a and Liquidity Coverage Ratio reporting.
• Translate business, regulatory, data, and control requirements into scalable technical designs and development tasks.
• Build and support data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting processes using Snowflake, SQL, and related data technologies.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Automic workflows, batch schedules, job dependencies, alerts, restart procedures, and recovery processes.
• Perform unit, integration, regression, and production validation testing; investigate data-quality issues, failed jobs, performance concerns, and reporting variances.
• Maintain automated controls, reconciliations, audit evidence, data lineage, deployment processes, code reviews, production support, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Associate's degree and at least 3 years of systems analysis or application development experience, or bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be accepted.
• Professional proficiency in at least one relevant programming or scripting language.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo four days per week.
• Experience with software development lifecycle practices, source control, deployment, change management, and CI/CD tools.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, data, Treasury, Finance, risk, and regulatory reporting partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with liquidity financial or regulatory reporting, including FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR, or ILST.
• Knowledge of liquidity data concepts, reporting controls, reconciliations, data lineage, and audit-ready documentation.
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL development, data transformation, query troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Automic or comparable workload automation, relational databases, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and secure file-transfer technologies.
• Experience with monitoring, incident management, release management, and production-support tools.
