Senior Software Engineer - Liquidity & Treasury (Fintech): Building and supporting scalable liquidity financial reporting solutions for FR 2052a, LCR, and related regulatory reporting with an accent on Snowflake, SQL, data integration, and resilient batch workflows. Focus on designing data pipelines and controls, troubleshooting complex reporting issues, leading testing and code reviews, and improving production reliability in a regulated banking environment.

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with four days onsite and one day working from home per week.

Salary: $97,100–$161,800 annual, USD.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, test, implement, and support complex liquidity financial reporting solutions within the SDLC.
  • Translate business, regulatory, data, and control requirements into scalable technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Build and support data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting processes using Snowflake, SQL, and related technologies.
  • Own Automic workflows, batch schedules, integrations, monitoring, alerting, recovery procedures, and reporting delivery.
  • Lead testing, production validation, root-cause analysis, remediation, incident response, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Lead code and design reviews, mentor engineers, contribute to architecture decisions, and improve release reliability.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with at least 5 years of systems analysis or application development experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one relevant programming language.
  • Experience with software development, financial data processing, source control, deployment, and production support.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and lead complex projects in a deadline-driven regulatory reporting environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with liquidity reporting such as FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR, or ILST.
  • Advanced Snowflake and SQL experience, including data transformation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and scalable data design.
  • Experience with Automic or comparable workload automation, relational databases, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and secure file transfer.
  • Experience with CI/CD, release management, monitoring, incident management, disaster recovery, technical direction, mentoring, and architecture discussions.
