Licensing Manager, Softlines (Entertainment Licensing)

Location: New York, with a hybrid schedule requiring 2 days per week in the NYC office; domestic travel required. Must be authorized to work in the US without restrictions.

Annual base salary: $85,000–$100,000, plus a 10% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Manage licensee relationships and day-to-day business for sleepwear and health and beauty aids categories.
• Develop category growth plans, pitch and secure new licensees, and deliver revenue and annual growth objectives.
• Manage financial performance, contracts, category analysis, product development, and retail placement.
• Lead negotiations for new deals, amendments, and renewals.
• Monitor licensee performance against contractual obligations, sales targets, and quality standards.
• Partner with global softlines leadership to shape category strategies across retail and e-commerce.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive licensing industry experience, including sales or brand management ownership and accountability for business results.
• Experience pitching properties, securing new business, negotiating complex deal points, and independently managing licensee relationships.
• Strong relationships and industry contacts across softlines categories; retail relationships are advantageous.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, strategic, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• US work authorization without restrictions is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in character or entertainment licensing.
• Established retail relationships.
