Director, Engineering (The Americas)

Location: United States; fully remote

Base salary: $190,000–$250,000 per year, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead and scale software engineering teams across the Americas and collaborate with engineering and product teams in EMEA and APAC.
• Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of platform services, AI services, Quote-to-Cash, and ZoneProcure products.
• Drive adoption of agentic SDLC, Spec-Driven Development, AI-powered development tools, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing.
• Provide technical leadership across Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, agentic workflows, LLM and agent frameworks, AI/ML pipelines, and managed AWS services.
• Partner with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and strategic customers to deliver scalable solutions and support regional growth.
• Use engineering metrics to improve delivery velocity, quality, collaboration, technical debt remediation, and foundational architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles and experience leading remote-first teams across multiple time zones.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, AI/ML pipelines, agentic workflows, LLM or agent frameworks, and AWS services including Bedrock, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, data modeling, systems integration, CI/CD, DevOps, and developer experience practices.
• Experience leading teams in the Americas and collaborating across EMEA and APAC, including cross-functional work with globally distributed Product teams.
• Experience with fintech, billing, reporting, or ERP systems; Oracle NetSuite experience is a plus.
