Engineering Manager, Infrastructure (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote, CA

Base salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a remote-first team of 3–6 full-stack infrastructure engineers.
• Manage development of internal cloud management tools, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Provide technical guidance, oversee code reviews, and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on roadmaps, priorities, and delivery of high-quality software.
• Support mentoring, professional development, hiring, and onboarding.

Requirements

• US citizenship or a US Green Card.
• At least 3 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Extensive hands-on Golang experience and the ability to provide technical guidance.
• Strong TypeScript or JavaScript experience with modern web technologies and SPA frameworks.
• Experience developing gRPC and RESTful APIs, working with Linux and cloud-native infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, team leadership, mentoring, hiring, and the use of AI technologies to improve workflows and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Python development experience.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience managing distributed or remote teams.
• Infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience.
