Engineering Manager - Platform

What you will do

• Hire, lead, and mentor an engineering team of three or more people.
• Translate business needs into technical objectives and align engineering work with company priorities.
• Drive agile execution, timely releases, code quality, and continuous process improvement.
• Oversee system architecture and implementation, including maintainability, security, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver suitable technical solutions.
• Improve DevOps, CI/CD, team performance, and technical debt management.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager leading teams of three or more people.
• Strong JavaScript skills, with TypeScript experience preferred, plus React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with modular architecture, microservices, Domain-Driven Design, RESTful APIs, and WebSocket APIs.
• Experience building authentication and authorization systems using standard protocols, RBAC, and access-token management.
• Knowledge of API security, encryption, Linux command-line tools, Git, CI/CD, unit testing, end-to-end testing, and TDD.
• Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, EC2, and API Gateway.
