Electronics Assembler – Level 3 (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Poway, California, United States; onsite production role

Salary: $25.96 per hour on 1st shift; extended hours may be required.

What you will do

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete assemblies, including LRUs, cables, wire harnesses, chassis, printed circuit boards, panels, batteries, and servo motors.
• Perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, rework, modification, disassembly, and reassembly.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, wire lists, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
• Use hand tools, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, and compression connection tools.
• Inspect workmanship against tolerances, specifications, and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and assist lower-level assemblers when needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant assembly experience and previous LRU assembly experience.
• Experience assembling electronic equipment and mechanically assembling panels, LRUs, batteries, and servo motors.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wire lists, and assembly instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, soldering equipment, and compression connection tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and good visual perception with the ability to distinguish colors.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, safety awareness, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Aerospace and defense assembly experience.
• Experience training or assisting lower-level assemblers.
• Experience in a structured, quality-driven manufacturing or production environment.
