Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: On-site in Wilton, Connecticut, United States. The role requires regular on-site presence for collaboration, training, meetings, and work in cleanroom and laboratory environments. Travel may be required up to approximately 10%.

Base annual salary: $69,000–$101,000.

What you will do

• Specify, design, develop, integrate, and test mechanical modules and tools for lithography systems.
• Develop engineering concepts, perform feasibility studies and analysis, and make technical tradeoffs across performance, cost, safety, compliance, and schedule.
• Create detailed CAD designs, engineering drawings, specifications, and high-level designs.
• Manage requirements, traceability, verification criteria, configuration, interfaces, risks, and project dependencies.
• Build and test prototypes, define validation approaches, and generate qualification evidence for release readiness.
• Coordinate with system architects, senior engineers, multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to design and realize mechanical solutions within system or module specifications and project constraints.
• Experience with verification, validation, qualification evidence, system integration, and disciplined technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams, communicate with senior leadership, and manage complex assignments.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, accountability, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology before beginning work, where required under U.S. export regulations.
