Salary: $128,000–$176,000 per year

Company

hirify.global develops materials science and engineering solutions and equipment used in semiconductor chip and advanced display production.

What you will do

  • Lead and design opto-mechanical solutions for complex subsystems, including optical, mechanical, and electrical interfaces.
  • Design precision components and assemblies for sub-micron alignment, thermal stability, manufacturability, and high-volume production.
  • Perform mechanical, structural, thermal, modal, fluid, and structural-thermal-optical performance analyses.
  • Lead prototype and production optical integration, alignment, calibration, and testing activities.
  • Develop drawings, specifications, procedures, engineering reports, and product lifecycle documentation.
  • Act as a technical lead on cross-functional programs, communicating design status, risks, and trade-offs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong mechanical design knowledge covering materials, thermal expansion, tolerance analysis, strength, rigidity, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Experience with tooling and jig design, machine shops, electronics packaging, liquid cooling, pneumatics, and fittings.
  • Hands-on finite element analysis experience with correlation of models to measured hardware.
  • Practical experience with optical measurement, interferometers, wavefront theory, optical drawings, alignment systems, and Class 4 lasers.
  • Ability to interpret and extend existing code, perform regression testing, and support software feedback cycles.

Nice to have

  • Experience with measurement system analysis, gauge repeatability and reproducibility, uncertainty budgets, calibration, and traceability.
  • Python and Git-style repository experience for rapid prototyping of controls or analysis applications.
  • Experience automating laboratory equipment and transferring designs into manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of reliability analysis, failure mode analysis, reliability prediction, and accelerated life testing.

Culture & Benefits

  • Supportive environment focused on learning, professional development, and technical growth.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits and health and wellbeing programs.
  • Potential eligibility for bonus and stock award programs.
  • Regular employment with full-time status and approximately 10% travel.
