Location: Lafayette, Colorado, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Lafayette campus

Salary: $76,800–$115,200 per year; eligible for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

  • Develop electronic schematics and PCB layouts according to design standards and review processes.
  • Select components, analyze datasheets, maintain bills of materials, and prepare engineering change documentation.
  • Perform circuit calculations, simulations, technical evaluations, verification testing, environmental evaluations, and EMC pre-compliance activities.
  • Build, modify, troubleshoot, and bring up prototype hardware using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, and electronic loads.
  • Support hardware-software integration, fault isolation, and embedded system diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with firmware, systems, mechanical, quality, clinical, supplier, and manufacturing partners from concept development through design transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • 0–2 years of hardware design experience, including internships, research projects, or equivalent hands-on engineering work.
  • Completed at least one hardware development cycle from schematic capture through PCB layout, fabrication, and board bring-up.
  • Experience with I2C, SPI, or UART communication protocols and ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, DC power supplies, and other electronic measurement equipment.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

  • Experience in medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of IEC 60601, IEC 61000, ISO 13485, or ISO 14971 standards and quality systems.
  • Experience with embedded C/C++ debugging, battery-powered designs, wireless connectivity, or high-speed digital interfaces.
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Git, or JIRA for test automation, analysis, and development workflows.
